Once in a while, I need to tell the world.

I've finally finished my 3rd semester papers.
Still, 1 more retake paper to work on.
Let the adrenaline pump.

Another 33 days to travel, which is quite fast.
It's like I've yet to receive 5 parcels for the event and haven't finish shopping.
Well, maybe people don't even know a thing.
Let me tell you, nothing is easy.
Not even playing a guitar.

For one to pick up a hobby, it requires time, effort, probably an amount of money.
How much, it depends.
A 3-digit figure has been spend just for me to attend this event.
Sounds pro, but no.
If you know what is all for, you might say I spend a lot on unnecessary things.
Well no one is to be judged for the things they do, so don't judge me before you make me start judging you.

Soon after majors I'll be working part time.
At least to earn some pocket money for myself while I'm down in KL.
Do come and spot me?
I've told quite many people where I'm working.

In the middle of trials.
Tomorrow is the final day so yeah, slight relief of the hectic syllabus.

A highlight of my plan after my majors: Attending Comic Fiesta 2013.
Just in case you don't know, the tickets are almost sold out just only a few days of release.
Gladly I managed to get mine one month earlier all thanks to my buddy. :)

Starting off this post with a very formal introduction.

11 random facts about Alice Rawkxz
1. I love the colour blue, any shades will do. This is also why I love the sky and the ocean (or pool).
2. I'm a righty but have a more powerful left hand. (That's why I suffer much during injection.)
3. I have a sweet tooth, preferably chocolate and candies.
4. I mix with my juniors better than my classmates, it's not saying that I'm not close with my classmates but I just have no idea why.
5. I'm 158cm tall. For once I aimed to grow up to 160cm but as I hit my age limit I acknowledge that it's no longer possible (even though it's 2cm apart).
6. I'm an Aries and I believe in the horoscope.
7. I'm very picky in certain types of food, for example chilli, eggs and fish.
8. I started stepping into pubs at the age of 7, drinking alcohol at the age of 9 (but that doesn't mean I'm alcoholic) and playing table pool (which many people mistake it as snooker) at the age of 10, all thanks to my dad.
9. I love music and sports. In music I play guitar and drums; in sports I'm currently doing Taekwondo, at random times I play basketball and swim.
10. I love to travel. If I'm given enough budget, I'll travel at least once a week.
11. I'm the eldest among cousins of the same age despite I was born in April.

Here's my answers to Chi's questions.

1. What's your favourite book?
A: To be frank I seldom read. However "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" by John Gray is one of my pick.

2. If you had one day left to live, what would you do?
A: I would meet up with a few very close buddies and do crazy stuff. Even it's the last day of life, I hope it's memorable and that I'm enjoying till the last minute.

3. Describe your ideal boyfriend.
A: Physically, he has to be at least my brother's height (166cm), fit and involved in certain sports. Personality wise, caring and humorous at the same time, but most importantly be loyal and honest in relationship.

4. How would you describe the way you dress?
A: Casual. I'm often seen in T-shirt / tank top and denim shorts / beach pants.

5. What do you do when you are sad?
A: Most of the times I'll call up my best friend (whom everyone knows, my "daughter") and have a long conversation, usually at least 1 hour. At times I'll just listen to emo songs or rant on Twitter.

6. Where is your favourite place to go?
A: If it's in school, definitely the basketball court and stadium. Malls wise, top preference will be Gurney Plaza (including Gurney Paragon).

7. What phone are you using?
A: HTC Sensation XE and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini.

8. What are you obsessed with?
A: Elecoldxhot, anything blue, denim, camouflage, pastel, punk.

9. Who do you look up to and why?
A: First person will be my dad, he's my greatest inspiration and motivation in life. Second person is Master Aloysius Montano, my head Taekwondo instructor. The reason I look up to him is he has always been a humble person despite all his great achievements, and many of us including myself treat him as our dad other than our blood-tied father. :)

10. Favourite movie and character from the movie.
A: This is more awkward than asking me to list my favourite book because I rarely step into the cinemas. If I have to pick one, it'll be Titanic and the main character Jack.

11. What can't you stand?
A: I can't stand people who're not punctual and bossy. Matter wise, I can't stand untidy handwriting.

1. 1 favourite memory.
A: That's a tough pick. To me every memory is precious. The most recent one will be going on a private date with my best friend (a.k.a my daughter).

2. 2 favourite clothing shops.
A: H&M, SubZero. I like the others but these appear to be my top 2.

3. 3 things you would want to do before you die.
A: Travel around the world with buddies, living with my besties, adopt a Husky.

4. 4 favourite people.
A: Choosing only 4 is a pain. Here goes: Master Aloysius Montano, Sora, Zoe Sheen, Hui Teng.

5. 5 places you would like to go.
A: (In random order) Paris, Dubai, Taiwan, Japan, Switzerland. Actually there are more places I would love to explore.

6. 6 ideal houses.
A: Hmm, instead of 6 ideal houses I would change it to 6 particulars of my ideal house, provided I have enough budget to do so. #1, a swimming pool; #2, a sound-proof room to place my musical instruments (a.k.a music room); #3, huge glass panes; #4, an underground garage (which sounds ambitious); #5, a fashion corner (or room) where I store my clothes, nail polishes and accessories; #6, a fitness corner.

7. 7 reasons why you started blogging.
A: Guess I can't think of that many reasons D: Anyway, I started blogging around 2009, just to express my feelings through words; or rather I would say, to find a place for me to rant. Strange fact is that, I wasn't inspired by anyone to start blogging during that time.

A: I rock my own world in my own way.

A: 80:20. Considering myself living better than the people in African countries, I'm satisfied. Everyone is different in their own ways, no one is to be judged. Being the special one and only me, it's good enough. All that's left is to push myself harder to be a better me, that's why the 20% is there.

CF Mini Day 2

UHS 2nd Closed Taekwondo (WTF) Poomsae Championship + Present Hunting + CF Mini Day 1

Kicked start the day with only 4 hours' sleep. *Oi!*
Before heading off to UHS for competition, I went back to school for a short while.
Rather saying I didn't want to reach too early, I wanted to spend more time with my daughter and buddies.

Totally had to step on the accelerator hard after I left school.
Dropped Yew at Paragon around 7:50a.m. then rushed to UHS.
Managed to reach sharp at 8a.m. phew.

It's great to be back with the #chonghongarmy, but with mixed feelings.
Why did we have to compete among each other D:
That's not fair and hurts so bad, we were one during nationals and states. :(
It was sort of awkward at the early stages of competition.
Not going to mention the issues it's just, hmm.
Short break became half an hour, a legit way to delay time.
Right, I was late for my date with my dear daughter and Yew. *Iish.*

Got bronze. :) Fair enough as I wasn't too prepared then caught myself off guard.
Great job to all medalists.
The day ended with a group photo but then I had to leave earlier so no #chonghongarmy photos. :(

Fetched Wey Yuh along to drop her at CAB Western Food to settle some stuff for our anniversary.
Damn the traffic I was pissed off when I drove.
So jam that I could drive using one hand then phone call on the other.
An original less than 10 minutes' journey took us double the time.
Turned out, it was just traffic whore in front of our school corridor, it was totally smooth after that.
Jeez.
Luckily daughter decided to walk and arrived in Gurney earlier. *Phew*
With event break time, Yew walked over from Paragon to accompany my daughter. *どもありがとう!*
おめでとう to Yew who's the first in line for King X Mon's calendar and postcards. :D
*I'll describe who are they further down the post, and why Japanese.*

Arrived Gurney at 12:05p.m. (which was way behind our plan).
Nevertheless found them and present hunting began.
3 of us saw a super nice watch from Tip Top Time. *Bling~*
Checked the price tag. (RM900) *Spits blood.* (Money calculation began)
We checked the price for the simpler design in both shops, turns out Tip Top Time offered a better price.
(By better I mean the price we can afford better lol.)
In the end we picked up the courage to ask if there's any discount for the RM900 watch, and guess what.
20% OFF! #successkid
We were totally stunned as I thought the maximum discount was 10%.
Definitely ON man! :)

Being lazy to drive in and out, we walked all the way back to school for lunch. *Huh?!*
Cup noodles at this hour can be all delicious haha.
While we were enjoying our so-called lunch at Summer Dessert Bakery, there's a stalker.
As we entered bakery, he sat at the table behind.
As we walked out, he came out as well then talked over his phone. #damn
We quickly escaped to Goodall to look for daughter's mum. (Taekwondo Oath #4.)
After explaining the condition to her, she was kind enough to drive us back to Paragon.
*Thanks a bunch Aunt Maggie!*
In the car, Yew received all sorts of call from different people, asking to meet her and stuff.
*Jeez? Haha.*
Too bad 3 of us didn't manage to take a picture before the go. *Nooooooooo!*

Highlight of the day : King X Mon!

Alright, now you understand why Japanese. *Why?!* You want me to hit you is it?

As we both arrived we quickly made our way through the crowd.
Met up with Yew's friends, then we rushed our way real close to the stage.
At least a 3rd row isn't that bad. :)
Didn't expect Vei Juan and Caleb to be there, met Christie also who lent Caleb's camera for me.

Before King X Mon (KM) went up to the stage for official Q&A, camera's up, capturing their faces. =D
For the day, King狂間 cosplayed as Haruka Nanase (七瀨 遙) while Mon小夢夢 cosplayed as Gou Matsuoka (松崗 江), both from Free! Iwatobi Swim Club.
Before the event I already acknowledged that King is 170cm tall in person, but didn't know she's THAT TALL. *You'll know why afterwards.*
Then there's this Chibi Mikasa on stage entertaining everybody by messing up emcee Alfred's hair with her swords + Shaun's help.

Assignment freak.

Currently one now.
I'm still on my way doing my assignment as you read this.

Just a short update.
So school holidays have been brought forward, but obviously no one is happy about it, be it students or teachers.
If we could possibly not replace our classes, it'll be much better.
Do you know 2 replacements have already cost me twice training sessions?

J to the U to the L to the Y.

Not so much of an update, but here's what I've been up to so far in July:

6th and 7th : 23rd Penang REMAJA Invitation and 24th Penang Closed Invitation Taekwondo Championship 2013
4th year in a row as a helper a.k.a event announcer.
Of course, back to compete for medals after 4 years of not doing so.

For poomsae (pattern), it's quite pressuring as we were the national's 1st runner up.
When we went to check the list of order, the burden multiplied.
We will be performing last out of the 7 teams, that means only 3/7 chance of getting medals, slim.
However, even with lack of training, we had great teamwork since we started training for nationals.
Thankfully, mission accomplished when the scores were projected through the screens.
A much better score compared to nationals, and we managed to retain our silver medal.

Kyukpa (breaking) wise, before it's our turn, we rehearsed our plan flow for many times.
Sad fact was, we never tried rehearsing once with planks before.
Thus, mistakes were done, followed by off-beat flow.
I can still remember how depressed I was after we finished our performance, feeling all frustrated and nearly broke down in front of the crowd.
Nevertheless, a close win for bronze. :')

Needless for me to mention how close I can get with the helpers' family and instructors. :)
Glad to have celebrated Master Roy a.k.a hero's birthday like how we did 3 years ago, but this time grander.
Managed to get him a memorable present and a super huge chocolate fudge cake from Secret Recipe during our lunch break.
Yes sir, you have 1 son and 5 daughters. Haha.

10th and 11th : PCGHS Inter-house Basketball Competition
Back to support the Blue players again.
Well that's what I do basically every year.
Who cares if I had to sacrifice 2 days of recess and staying back? :)

It's great to have my one-year senior back in school to witness the matches.
Those good old times when we played basketball together, still remain fresh on my mind.
Can't believe it's already 3 years.

I must admit, I'm all pumped up and hyper when it comes to basketball, especially when Sora's the captain.
Therefore all the annoying cheers. >.<

Overall result, morning session got 3rd with 2 wins 2 loses, while afternoon session got champion with 4 wins.
I'm still a proud senior. :)
The loses aren't huge ones, just missed it by 1 ball per game, devastating.

So after the win yesterday, someone told nearly everyone we met that we're going dating. Haha!
I'll take it. It's a #daddydaughterduo date anyway.

Other times : ASSIGNMENT
Speaking of which, the thing I hated most when Semester 3 began.
Nevertheless, for better grades, just do it.
It's already the final semester and I ain't letting loose.

Moving on.

It's already June.

Flashing back 2013, I can say it's quite horrible for me.
Having to deal with friendship issues is just headache.
Nevertheless, things have to come to an end.

As a typical Aries, actions act faster than minds, but that doesn't mean I'm like that all the time.
When it comes to friendship, I do my best to make sure I do not mistreat anybody in an unfair manner.
I don't know about myself, but some people say I tend to be too nice to everyone.
Throughout March and April, things just didn't go well.
Since it's over I'm not going to bring up again.

Losing a 7-year friend.
At first I thought it would be painful inside, but obviously not.
So what if we aren't friends any more?
It's not like I can't live without her.
There's still people who care about me, more than they care about her.
Goodbye to somebody that I used to know, whom I now categorise her in to bitches' group.
Let's see how long you can stay bitching.

Anyway school's reopening soon.
Slowly getting my tables tidied up and stuff settled.
It seems like I have never ending business but I don't organise my time properly.
Time to switch up some good habits and prepare for the upcoming fights.
Moving on, till the end of time.

Review : Etude House Nail Polish Swatches

Pre-script: I'm posting it with my phone so I'll rearrange the pictures sooner.

So I've said I wanted to do a post on this.
Without further due, I'll start off with Look At My Cotton Candy Nails collection.

Before I tried any on myself, I did pedicure for my aunt with Dancing Ballet Shoes.
The colour's awesome, and 2 coats were opaque enough.
I never thought I would go for a pink polish, but here I went.



The next day I tried on baby blue and baby purple on myself.


Here are the polishes I've used.
From left : Elianto base coat, Etude House LAMCC Nails Balloon in the Sky, Etude House LAMCC Nails Look At Him Looking At Her, Etude House Petit Darling Nails top coat.



I've just tried it on my thumb.
Both colours were pretty sheer with only one coat, but two coats of application definitely made the magic.
However, putting pastel colours on my nails would be awkward because I don't have matching clothes. :/
Wait till I have time for more shopping then.

For school holidays I'm applying polishes from Fashion Queen collection from Etude House I got earlier.
The first 5 days I tried Rock and Roll Baby collection.

I'm not a fan of glitter polish, but I went all random and here's the outcome.

Prior to my outing with my daughter I decided to switch up some denim feel on my fingers, which is my current manicure.
Fashion Queen Hey! JeanE collection, the one I'll never regret buying.
I also made use of the nail stickers for the first time and I received compliments for my manicure.
To save up some drying time I used the quick dry drop.

The outcome was awesome. :)

My next hunt will be Sweet Recipe Ice-cream Nails collection.

Friendship?

Thinking back about the past makes me feel stupid.

You weren't good in studies.
You weren't holding any posts in co-curriculum.
You weren't mixing with friends who're all-rounded.
You weren't someone who did all homework.
You weren't a favourite among teachers.
You weren't outstanding.
You weren't taking many things seriously.
Yet, we chose to be your friend, to guide you on in life.

Didn't we treat you good enough?
Hadn't we help you all the time or else you'll be in bigger trouble?
Turned out it's like our fault instead.

I will never forget that day.
4th of March, 2013, school auditorium.
6th Formers were collecting book vouchers, you were absent for lessons, but appeared at 12+.
All you knew how was pretended you had stomach ache, then put your arm over my shoulders like you needed support, and started making up crap excuses to escape from assistant headmistress.
How kind of me that time to give you a call even after school to check if you're alright.
That was your first betrayal move.

Guess I don't have to tell the whole world about what good "deeds" you have done.
Over means over, because I don't mind.

It's not that I don't prioritise friendship, it's just that in my heart, it's no longer that important to me any more.
Memories were definitely unforgettable, but there's no way I'll move on if I don't let go.

Goodbye birthday month.

I would conclude this month as horrific, if you know what I have encountered.
Not gonna talk about it.

So, birthday.
All was fine, but some people just want to see my shocked face.
Do you people really enjoy see me being shocked or what?
By the way those surprises just enlightened some of my down moments.
You know who you are people. ♥

The duo ended up talking and meeting up more than the previous weeks, kudos to that backstabber.
Who, you ask? Told you I'm not gonna talk about it.
For now just let everything settle down.
Let bygones be bygones, and bitches will always remain bitching.

Majors in 3 weeks' time.
One last time before June I'm gonna make all the hard work pay off.
Revenge time.

Haul + Short Review : Etude House + Essence

This is going to be not-so-long.

Went to Queensbay yesterday to bank in some money.
After that with some time left I decided to check out pharmacies for nail art tools.

First I walked into Sasa.
I remembered seeing China Glaze in Gurney's branch but there ain't any here. =(
Nevertheless I found Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear and Revlon polishes. (RM 20 each bottle)
Scrolling up and down for products, then saw Naga Nail magnetic polish collection, 2 bottles and free magnet at RM 50.
The price was okay but I'm not a huge fan of magnetic polish so I thought I would keep that budget for more colours.

Exited Sasa, I went into Guardian, then saw the wedged make up sponge, but a little bit pricey. (8 for RM 12.90)
Then I thought, maybe Watsons would give me a better deal so I visited the store.
I was randomly looking around.
Merely pointless shopping I can say until something caught my eyes.
Essence White Nail Art Pen.
Seriously I didn't know this brand was in Watsons till I witnessed it.
This nail art pen has been used by Youtubers while they paint their nails and they gave good review.

There you go.

Also in Watsons, I saw a huge pack of wedged make up sponge, selling RM 19.46 for 20 pieces.
Definitely worth it, but my deskmate and I decided not to go for it just yet because we won't be using that many.

Not going to conclude much about Etude House.
I've been buying things over RM 150 during their 50% off promotion and launch of Sweet Recipe collection, but I will feel bad for not buying anything when I enter any stores.

Dear My Party Nails collection - DJing Show.
Just imagine you're in a disco, then you get to imagine the colours of this bottle.
It contains purple, green and silver glitter strips.

As soon as I got home, I went on to try the nail art pen.

Looks like an ordinary pen, no?
If you know how to write, you pretty much get used to this product very quickly.

Here's me trying it on my thumb.
Please ignore the line at the centre as I accidentally pumped too much ink at once.
Overall it was convenient and the drying time was absolutely amazing.

Holidays, please come faster. I can't wait to paint my nails.

My original plan was just to get my glue refill, but after visiting Popular, remembered that Sticky was open today I went to have a look.
When I was looking around, someone called my name (well I was frightened) and it appeared to be my junior who's working in Sticky =D
I got myself a bottle for my love towards Sticky and to celebrate its arrival in Penang.

A very nice shade of mango-ish orange.

Dear My Deep Color Nails - Crown Brown
*I'm not sure if they labelled wrongly because this looked more like Ground Brown from the collection.*
To be honest, I got this one just to make my bill > RM50 for the postcard lol.
As you can see, this one is a lighter shade of brown, it's a great contrast if your fingers are fair enough.
(Nope, my skin has tanned a lot since 17.)

Haul : Nail polish

This is my first time writing about haul and I'm pretty excited!

So yesterday I was in Queensbay Mall.
At first I thought of checking out Topshop because they're having renovation sales, then Etude House.
Considering Topshop items might just make my pocket burn, I walked first to Etude House.
Then, there were sales as well.

Stopped there for quite some time to try out some colours on my nails.
Too bad, didn't take a picture when each nail had different colours.
However the offer was really worthy.
Buy a minimum of 3 items from the store and get 50% off each item (ends 14/4), except for their latest launch of Sweet Recipe Collection products which only offer 20%, also a minimum purchase of 3 items (ends 30/4).
Sounds interesting, because that means storewide discount.

A very lovely colour similar to a pair of ballerina flats.

A very special shade of purple with some brown undertone but doesn't make the colour too dull.
This colour compliments grey and purple clothes very well.

This collection has more to choose from, but people know I love the colour blue to death and I love anything about jeans/denim. This collection is perfect for denim lovers.

I went to Elianto before going off, just because I feel like getting the Grape Nail Colour Remover.
Thankfully, it wasn't out of stock.
My last nail polish remover was the same one, and it has a nice scent of grapes that's why I came back for one.
It's not worthy to buy the smaller bottle of remover if you're wondering which to buy (RM 8.00 for 60ml).

This one, RM 10.00 (100ml).

In Elianto, it's RM 15 if you buy a bottle of nail lacquer + a bottle of nail treatment (base coat, top coat, cuticle oil or nail strengthener). Makes you save RM 3.90.
Therefore, here.

One week.

Holiday mood is now officially off. FML D=
Nevertheless I had a few highlights of the week.

Pre-script : This is a picture filled post.

Started my Saturday with PCGHS Taekwondo Outing.
Youth Park every year and I was starting to get bored lol.

The colour blue for group A.

We finished with an overall first runner up, which was still alright.
Also received a present from the organising committee for being active.
*Surprisingly this was the first year this present was awarded.*

I'll move on to Monday since I decided to rot at home on Sunday.

Went to Escape Adventure Theme Park with Siew Yin via Rapid and met up with SGGS Taekwondo group.
The place was fun, but the items are considered expensive for the locals.
If you wish to go there some day, I can suggest you with some tips and personal experience.

From Tuesday to Friday, boredom came kicking in when I had to drive to school every single day for extra class. =(
Nevertheless I got myself out of the cage for the afternoons.

Tuesday afternoon, decided to have lunch opposite school with a buddy.
Who knew that we'd bump into Sora's mum and spent the afternoon sharing opinions? Heh.
Wednesday, thanks to the frigging weather I drove home after class and took my nap.
Just so you know, my date with Elim people also delayed after times of discussions carried out on Twitter.
Now, stories about Thursday.

I wasn't paying much attention during extra class. =X
Nothing about Accounts pop out, but the routes that I'll be driving.
That's why I was weak at that chapter she taught that particular day I guess.
Even texted Chi and got a phone call from Jae-Sonn in the middle of the class lol.

So after class I drove to fetch Chi, chilled a while in Starbucks Drive-Thru then off to jetty to wait.
Jeez, the weather wasn't very pleasing. Scorching hot, and my car could have fried an egg.
Therefore I went hoodie-off when I was driving.
Arrived in Queensbay after picking up Jae-Sonn and Zelyn, then met up with Jayne.

For this outing, our plan was "No plan". Pity enough huh?
We ended up heading to Kim Gary for lunch, then wandered around before decided to spend 2 hours to let it all out in Neway.
Because singing Chinese songs were too lala? English songs only in the room, maybe a few Korean.

Glad to have Zoe Sheen to share all my burdens, especially those weeks when friendship hung on a cliff.

Turn up the holidays.

My schedule is as packed as December, again.
Another 7 days left before going back to school.
People enjoy their 9-day holidays, but I'm only enjoying one.

No doubt, here comes March in 4 days.

My Chinese New Year had been a bland one, with nothing too extraordinary happened.
Think I shall summarise with pictures I posted on Instagram.

I love shorts, but my swollen calf was the main reason I wore shorts for CNY.

This was definitely everyone's favourite.

CNY is the right mood for gambling, said the people.

I seriously regretted for forgetting my tumblers. 4 bucks gone! >:(

So my cousins and I were glad to meet these cousins.
Very easygoing people which won't make us feel awkward at all times. =D

The annual CNY event in church which I couldn't afford to miss.

Of course, the main purpose of CNY : Angpows.

Nevertheless, February has to end.
